A Legend in Sound, A Tradition of Progress
At the heart of every Klipsch product is over 60 years of audio expertise beating strong. Our commitment to no-compromise performance has made us the preferred choice of top cinema operators, a leader in stereo and home theater sound and now a premium name in headphones.

As the flagship design in the Image family, these award-winning headphones fuse lifestyle, technology and fashion to deliver precise, natural sound as well as stake their claim as the smallest, most comfortable earphones on the market.

Complete Comfort and Fit
Image X10 features proprietary Contour Ear Gels that naturally fit the shape of your ear canals, reducing ear fatigue and producing a perfect acoustic seal. A good seal minimizes outside noise, also known as noise isolation, and allows you to enjoy your music at lower, safer volumes. Each flexible, oval-shaped ear gel is also light and narrow, making it almost impossible to feel inside the ear.

Image X10 comes with five different sizes of washable ear gels: small, medium, and large single flange designs, as well as small and large double flange designs. This way, virtually everyone can find a precise fit.

Premium Sound
Inside these compact gems, you’ll find over 60 years of audio expertise ready to let you hear what you’ve been missing. Image X10 uses an exclusive balanced full-range armature micro-driver with a tuned bass-reflex system to deliver superior acoustic experiences with all the dynamics and accuracy you'd expect from Klipsch.

Beauty in the Details
A must-have for fashion-forward listeners, Image X10 earphones feature aluminum bodies finished in beautiful anodized copper and streamlined black “tails.” Aside from aesthetic appeal, these flexible “tails” reduce cable stress and serve as an acoustic damper to minimize cable noise.

Built to Last
We’ve gone to great lengths to ensure the long-lasting durability of Image X10, including its 50-inch-long cables. Put through extensive “real world” testing, these headphones feature appropriate strain relief at every cable connection point to help prevent wire damage.

Added Frills
The Image X10 is compatible with the iPod, iPhone and virtually any device with a headphone jack. These earphones come with a carrying case and compact pouch, a ¼-inch adaptor, an airplane adaptor, five sets of different-sized ear gels and an ear gel cleaning tool.

Image X10 FAQs

Why are Image headphones unique and worth the price?
Made up of the X10 and X5, the Image series represents the world’s smallest, lightest full-range earphone family. Meant to be heard and not seen, these tiny headphones are big on performance, style and comfort. Image is loaded with our most advanced comfort features, plus its remarkably lightweight design places minimal pressure on the ears.

What is the difference between the Image X10 and the Image X5?
The X5 is a slightly larger—by only 2mm in diameter—than the flagship X10, so it’s easier and somewhat less expensive to manufacture, so we can pass the savings on to the end user. However, the X5 is still considered a very small, lightweight design and will continue the Image legacy of being the least fatiguing in-ear headphones around.

With respect to technology and sound performance, the X5 employs a balanced full-range driver with a tuned bass-reflex system, while the X10 uses an exclusive full-range micro-driver with a tuned bass-reflex system. If you like a lot of bass, we recommend purchasing the X10; however, if you like want a superior top end with more forward voicing than the X5 is the right choice for you.

According to the Klipsch engineering team, the X5 continues Klipsch’s sound signature by performing accurately in the frequency and time domain, minimizing any phase distortion with its linear acceleration. As a result, you’ll hear things in your favorite recordings you never noticed before.

Why am I not getting enough bass response?
It’s probably because you don’t have a good ear seal. Be sure to try out the various ear tip sizes as you may find that you need the double flange design for the best possible seal. You may also want to try pulling the ear tip out slightly as it may have collapsed.

How do I know if I have a good seal?
When no music is playing, your voice should sound louder and ambient noise should sound quieter, very similar to wearing a pair of ear plugs. Creating a tighter seal is simple. Insert the ear gel into the ear canal and then gently pull it back. This adjustment eliminates virtually all external noise so you can play your music at a lower volume, for a longer period of time, without experiencing ear fatigue.

"I've been using Klipsch's top-of-the-line X10s for months now. Aside from being the most comfortable in-ear headphones I've ever used, the X10s are some of the most amazing-sounding in-ear headphones I've ever used. You have never really heard massively deep bass through headphones until you've experienced X10s. They sell for $349, and in my book are worth every penny."

“Klipsch Images are, hands down, the most comfortable and easy-to-use in-ear headphones we’ve ever tested.”
- Playback [5/30/2008]

“One of the Image’s greatest strengths is its ability to convey low-level sonic information in a pure, believable, cohesive way. Harmonics, overtones, and other small details always sound like natural organic extensions of the voices from which they originate. It’s a subtle quality that quickly becomes addictive.”
- Playback [5/30/2008]

" ... there's no doubt that Klipsch has delivered a design that is smaller and more comfortable without compromising on power."

"If you're a regular runner, you will absolutely love these earphones, since they don't pull at your ears when you're pounding those miles."
- Riyad Emeran, TrustedReviews [5/10/2008]

"The Klipsch Images aren't just about comfort and looks, they also pack a pretty good punch when it comes to sound quality. In fact I was quite surprised by how full a sound the Images produce, considering just how tiny the single driver is - there's an impressive amount of bass response on offer, which of course in aided by the excellent seal produced by those silicone tips. "
- Riyad Emeran, TrustedReviews [5/10/2008]

"If you're looking for what may be the most comfortable earphone in the world for almost everyone, look no further. Combine that with performance that will please that same general populous, and you've got a solid earphone."
- Nate Lanxon, CNET.co.uk [5/9/2008]

"That Klipsch has put a lot of work into the design of these earphones is pretty easy to spot. They look way better than any other in-ear I have ever seen. I never thought I would say this about an in-ear, but these look cool and stylish - definitely not your usual dorky looking phones."
- Frederik Skovgaard, techPowerUp [4/20/2008]

"The contour ear gels are definitely some of the best silicone tips I have ever tried. Insertion was easy and the seal was tight yet still extremely comfortable."
- Frederik Skovgaard, techPowerUp [4/21/2008]

"Overall the Klipsch Images are a very articulate pair of earphones that makes most kinds of music shine. The tonal balance is also pleasing and makes them easy to listen to. Nothing sound particularly bad on these in-ears, they are good at almost everything and truly excel when it comes to rock and pop in my opinion."
- Frederik Skovgaard, techPowerUp [4/20/2008]

"The silicone tips blocked our plane's drone so well that when we closed our eyes midflight we felt as if we were listening to Coltrane in our den."
- Men's Journal [4/1/2008]

" ... if you're looking for an ultracomfortable, great sounding set of earbud-style headphones, these guys don't disappoint."

- Steve Guttenberg, CNET [2/28/2008]

"The Klipsch earphones completely shut out the noises around me. It was remarkable. ... The noise-isolation quality of Image was pretty close to the active noise-cancellation effect in my full size headphones. But the real difference was the comfort."
- J. Walker Clarke, Jr., Audioholics [2/25/2008]

"There were actually times while listening to the Klipsch Image earphones that I could swear I felt a kick drum in my chest, much like I would while listening to large speakers paired with a great subwoofer. That is how great the low end is on these incredibly small earphones!"
- J. Walker Clarke, Jr., Audioholics [2/25/2008]

"The impressively small and lightweight design, solid accessory set, killer comfort, and excellent sound make this one of our favorite sets of in-ear headphones."
- Mike Kobrin, Digital Trends [2/13/2008]

"...they are worth every penny. These are ultra-small, ultra-lightweight ear buds that sound amazing. They produce the deepest, most impressive bass I've ever heard coming from a set of headphones. You can almost feel the bass (like you do with Klipsch loudspeakers). Voices and midrange sounds are pretty amazing too."
- Gary Krakow, TheStreet.com [12/11/2007]

"The other thing you should know about Image headphones is their comfort level. They are very small, very lightweight and are the least fatiguing in-ear headphones I've ever used."
- Gary Krakow, TheStreet.com [12/12/2007]

“Truth be told, I have never used a more comfortable in-ear style earphone. These were so light that I really didn’t know they were there. The seal was tight which blocked out most all the outside noise around me. The added advantage to such a good seal is that I didn’t have to turn up the volume of my iPod to dangerous levels. Usually, even in the noisiest environments, I only had to go to about half volume to produce loud and beautiful sound.”
- Gary Mazo, Gadgetnutz [11/28/2007]

“The Klipsch Image earphones are simply the most amazing earphones I have ever listened to. The sound is full, the bass is incredible, the high end is clear and believable and the sound stage is just not to be believed.”
- Gary Mazo, Gadgetnutz [11/28/2007]
